For Lisa Christensen, watercolor is a way of listening to the natural world. Every leaf, every creature, every quiet moment outdoors carries a story—and she paints to honor those stories. Her soft, expressive brushwork and vibrant color choices reflect how she feels when she’s fully present in nature’s beauty. Lisa’s paintings often explore the relationship between plants, animals, and people, revealing how deeply connected we are. Her work has been featured in Plein Air Festivals, Art for the Wild with Blank Park Zoo, and the Iowa Watercolor Society. With a background in Graphic Design, Photography, Illustration, and Social Media Marketing, Lisa earned her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees from BYU–Idaho. These studies taught her the value of slowing down, observing, and letting inspiration rise from real experiences outdoors.
